768-5531 The Guidance staff works with the students, parents and school personnel to promote the maximum opportunity for each student. Services include personal counseling, crises intervention, support groups, academic advisement, testing and interpretation, career exploration, post-high school planning and referrals. Counselors follow students academic progress and assist with arranging parent conferences. Course selection takes place each spring. Parents are welcome to participate in the planning session and are requested to review and approve the academic plan. References and guidance materials are available in the Guidance Office as well as in the high school library. CHOICES is a computer program for career-decision making, college searches, financial-aid opportunities and occupational information and may be accessed in the Guidance Office, library, or Computer Lab. Parents may arrange an appointment with the counselor by calling the Guidance Office. Students may arrange an appointment by signing up on the counselor's schedule or seeing the counselor to arrange a convenient time.
