OUR COMMUNITY

The Le Roy Central School District is located in Le Roy, New York which is 40 miles east of Buffalo and 20 miles southwest of Rochester. The District encompasses the Village and Town of Le Roy and the portions of the Towns of Stafford, Bergen, and Pavilion in Genesee County and the Town of Caledonia in Livingston County. The District covers approximately 40 square miles and has an estimated population of 12,000.

Le Roy is in the heart of recreational and scenic areas and is within easy driving distance of Rochester, Buffalo, and Toronto. Le Roy continues to have a strong agricultural base and combines the advantages of small town life with proximity to the cultural, educational, recreational and athletic benefits of numerous area colleges, universities and metropolitan centers.

Le Roy provides a village community setting including neighborhoods of historic homes, new residential developments, and apartment complexes, together with an expanding business base. There are many local recreational facilities including swimming, golf courses and ski centers nearby. 

Much of district life centers around the school community and there is strong support of all athletic, music and extracurricular programs.
