School Tax Bill Information

2010 – 2011 Le Roy Central School District tax bills will be issued September 7, 2010.

Payment is due by October 6, 2010

October 7, 2010 – November 5, 2010:  2% penalty charged

Make checks payable to:  Le Roy Central School District.

Mail payment to Dept. # 117021, PO Box 5270, Binghamton, NY  13902-5270 – include bottom portion of the bill.  As long as the postmark is October 6^th or earlier, taxes will be accepted with no penalty.  If the postmark is October 7^th or later, the 2% penalty must be included or we will return your taxes to you. 

The tax collector will be in the District Office on school days between the hours of 9:30AM – 3:30PM.  If taxes are dropped off in the District Office, they will be forwarded to Binghamton for processing and no receipts will be given by the District Office.  The bank will be sending a receipt for every payment received.

After November 5, 2010:  The School District will no longer accept payments.  Unpaid taxes will be sent to the Genesee County Treasurer to be relevied on the January Town/County tax bill.  Livingston County taxpayers will be able to pay Le Roy School taxes to the Livingston County Treasurer between November 15 – 30, 2010 with an additional 3% penalty added to the base amount.  After November 30^th, unpaid taxes will be relevied on the January Town/County tax bill.
