The Season Never Ends

In order to experience success in the fall, soccer players

need to have a year round approach to the game of soccer.

January / February / March

1. Attend all Sunday Soccer sessions @ Wolcott Street School Gymnasium.

            Grades 6, 7, 8 (2:00 – 3:15)

            Grades 9, 10, 11 (3:30 – 5:00)

2. Indoor soccer tournaments with Coach O’Halloran as scheduled.

3. Any indoor soccer leagues that you can sign up for will only help you to come closer to achieving your personal goals. (Rochester Sports Garden, Total Sports Experience)

April / May / June  / July

1. All athletes who aspire to play at the varsity level should be sure to play for a club soccer team. All athletes are encouraged to play at the highest level possible.

  • The LeRoy Soccer Club competes in the Genesee Youth Soccer League. The GYSL is a recreational league. For more information please contact Patrick Kennedy at pkennedy@rochester.rr.com

  • Other area clubs compete in the Rochester District Youth Soccer League (Byron-Bergen Sting, Genesee Lancers, Empire United, etc…). The RDYSL provides an opportunity for competitive travel soccer. Learn more at www.rdysl.com.

2. Attend soccer camp at a local college. The Rochester area is full of excellent soccer camp opportunities (U of R, Nazareth, St. John Fisher, Roberts Wesleyan, etc…). Having the experience of college level coaching and playing against different players can be invaluable when the fall season starts.

August / September / October

1. Attend the LeRoy Boys Soccer Summer Skills Camp which takes place the week before pre-season. The focus is primarily on individual skill and physical fitness.

2. Pre-season starts 3 weeks before the school year starts for all JV and Varsity athletes and includes Labor Day weekend. Make sure you are ready to go when the season starts!
