Dear Parents,

I know firsthand that mornings are tough!  Kids don’t want to get up on time, the alarm doesn’t go off, or someone can’t find their backpack!  It can be difficult for students to find the time at home in the morning to eat breakfast.  Breakfast is important however, and is proven to improve alertness, behavior, as well as test scores and grades.  It is difficult for students to learn and concentrate when they are hungry. 

Fortunately, every student at Le Roy Central School District has access to a free breakfast every weekday morning when school is in session!  Free Breakfast and Lunch has been federally approved until the end of the 2021/2022 school year.  Every morning your child will have breakfast options that include whole grains, juice, low fat milk, and fruit. 

At Wolcott Street School breakfast will be served in a Grab and Go style.  Your child will choose a main breakfast item along with their milk and fruit choices and bring their lunch to their classroom to enjoy.  Breakfast is served from 8:45-8:55.

At Le Roy Junior Senior High School breakfast begins at 7:25 and is available until 10:30.  There is a variety of breakfast entrée’s to choose from and students can take a juice, fruit choices, and low fat milk.
